Sustainability at Hydfoam

Ethical business practices and responsible behaviour are the basis for our long-term company success. Sustainable action should be implemented comprehensively in the areas of employees, suppliers, processes and products. Furthermore, they are an expression of our values and convictions.

The following standards, defined as a code of conduct, are intended to help us to make a sustainable contribution to society.

  • Environmental and climate protection

    The basic values in the areas of environmental and climate protection are consistently implemented and we generally act in an economically, ecologically and socially sustainable manner. The applicable laws on climate and environmental protection are always observed and an appropriate environmental management is established and applied within the company. Resources are used economically. 

  • Compliance with laws, recognised standards and guidelines

    Compliance with the laws of the applicable legal system 

  • General conditions regarding human rights

    The international human rights within the sphere of influence are observed so that the company is not complicit in any human rights violations. The fundamental right to freedom of expression and the right to collective bargaining within the framework of national laws are respected.

    We reject all forms of child and forced labour. The age limit for permitted employment is under no circumstances lower than 15 years. Employees are not exposed to unsafe, dangerous or harmful situations. Discrimination, harassment or a hostile work environment will not be tolerated.

    No one may be disadvantaged or favoured on the basis of skin colour, gender, disability, ideology, culture, sexual orientation, age, religion, ethnic or social origin, nationality, physical constitution, appearance, marital status and political or trade union activity. 

  • Occupational safety and health protection

    To prevent accidents and illnesses, employees are provided with a safe, healthy and hygienic working environment. Preventative occupational safety and health-promoting measures contribute to the health, satisfaction and long-term performances of all employees.

  • General conditions regarding employees

    The relevant legal regulations and operational provisions on working hours, paid leave and public holidays as well as the relevant conventions of the International Labour Organization are observed. Remuneration (including social benefits) is based on the applicable legal and operational regulations. The personal dignity of each individual is fully respected and a fair and respectful treatment of one another is practiced.

  • Antitrust and competition law:

    To act in accordance with national and international competition laws and not to participate in price, marketing or bid rigging or in the allocation of markets and customers. The intellectual property of others is respected. 

  • Corruption prevention

    The applicable corruption law is observed and an open, fair and reliable dealing with customers, suppliers and service providers are maintained. Corruption and behaviour that is detrimental to the company must be consistently rejected. 

  • Supply Chain

    The principles of non-discrimination in selecting and dealing with suppliers are complied with. The contents of the Code of Conduct are also observed and supported among suppliers to an appropriate extent. 

  • Conflict minerals

    Appropriate measures are taken to avoid the use of raw materials in own products that are produced directly or indirectly by armed groups that violate human rights or finance the violation of these rights.
